Lucknow - The enriched experience



Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh is called “The City of Nawabs” . It is famous for its hospitality, magnificent monuments, chicken embroidery, zardozdi work and its Kebabs and Biryani. Lucknow is multicultural and home to people who use different dialects and languages.
You can use Railways, the main railway station is located at Charbagh, Air transport which connect Lucknow to almost all the major cities via Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Inter State bus services from Alambagh and Qaiserbagh to reach Lucknow  .

Climate : Lucknow experiences all the three main seasons . Summers being too hot where temperature reaches upto 48º, monsoon starts from July to September which gives relief from scorching summers, winters are pleasant with average 11º temperature .

Food and Cuisine: Lucknow’s cuisine is a paradise for non veg lovers , its kebab , biryani, kormas,  nahari-kulchas, sheermal are some of its mouth watering delicacies offered. Chowk, Aminabad, Hazartganj are some of the places where every nook and corner has this tiny sheds for food lover, you may not get attracted by its rustic look and long queues but once you eat here you will swear by its taste you will want to visit it again and again. Apart from super delicious and mind numbing food what is the icing on the cake is the price, yes its highly affordable. Its not that Lucknow only caters to non veg lovers, its veg dishes is also to die for, its khasta aloo, basket chaat, Makhan malai, Kulfi falooda, different flavoured paans, lassi, veg kabab paratha, dahi vada, golgappas, kulfi are some of its speciality .

Cost of Travel : Lucknow is very budget friendly city, as most of the eight seeing places are free of cost or very nominal. You can use auto, cab, rickshaws, buses, metro to visit these places and the best part is they are available round the clock and the fair is usually fixed at a reasonable rate. Hotels depend upon the place and the kind of rooms you are booking. For e.g. hotels near Railway station , Bus station is usually cheap with price as low as 400-500 rs as compared to hotels in Hazratganj which is the heart of the city and Gomtinagar where the average cost of hotels is somewhere between 2-3 k  but again the type of service, rooms, view will make the difference. 

Days enough to Travel : Usually 4-5 days is enough to see Lucknow in which you must include shopping  because without shopping your visit is incomplete and moreover Lucknow has this supremacy for  Chikan embroidery. Aminabad, Chowk and Hazratganj are famous shopping destinations. 

People are generally very warm, ready to help, and their dialect is music to your ears.
